Have you ever thought about volunteering with the Tulsa Race for the Cure? Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, do something meaningful with your time, raise breast cancer awareness, and help us find the cures so that no one else will ever have to fight the agonizing battle against this disease.
Here are a few of our open leadership Race Committee positions:
Survivor Committee Co-Chair
Responsible for facilitating an inspiring experience for Survivors on Race Day, including operations in the Survivor Pavilion; coordinating the Survivor Breakfast, Survivor Parade, and Survivor Ceremony. Special Note: This is a year-round position that will help us develop our year-round Survivor Program in support of Survivors in our service area.
Volunteer Committee Co-Chair
Responsible for recruiting and managing Packet Pick-Up, Race Set-Up and Race Day volunteers; coordination with other Race Chairs to determine Volunteer needs; and enter job descriptions into our Convio database.
Registration Committee Members
Responsible for entering paper registrations into the Convio database during designated processing, Packet Pickup, and Race site hours. Must be detail-oriented, comfortable with computers and have excellent typing and proofreading skills.
There will be many volunteer opportunities available on Race Day. Opportunities will be posted on komentulsa.org around Aug. 15, 2013.
If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact Linda Buck at linda@komentulsa.org or 918.392.2745, ext 203.
