Educational Ambassadors

An ambassador by definition is an authorized messenger or representative, which is exactly what Komen Tulsa is accomplishing with the Ambassador program . . . messengers of the Komen promise and mission respresenting Komen within different facets of the community.

Faith-based Ambassadors lead the charge to reach out and educate women and men alike within their organizations regarding breast health and the importance of early detection.

Community-based Ambassadors work hand in hand with community and corporate leaders in order to organize a strategy that works within the community (schools, neighborhood associations, local businesses, Tulsa-based corporate offices, etc.), to not only build an individual’s awareness about breast cancer but also encourage them to take a proactive approach with their breast health.

Medical-based Ambassadors play a key role in the development and execution of a health coalition addressing major needs in the community relating to mobile mammography and barriers to health care.

For more information regarding the Ambassador program or to become a Komen Tulsa Ambassador, please contact Jennifer Barrington at Jennifer@komentulsa.org
