Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa (CTCA) is part of a national network of cancer hospitals with additional locations in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia and Washington.
Committed to providing the Mother Standard® of care and Patient Empowered Medicine®, CTCA offers a multitude of services under one roof, including a 24-hour infusion center where patients can receive their chemotherapy when they want it and an expansive radiation platform with more than 30 different approaches to radiation treatment.
Known for treating the whole-person and not just the disease, CTCA combines advanced forms of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and imaging services with scientifically supported complementary therapies including nutrition, naturopathic medicine, oncology rehabilitation, mind-body medicine, pain management, acupuncture, and respiratory therapy. By focusing exclusively on cancer, CTCA is able to offer innovative, hopeful treatment options for adult patients who are fighting advanced-stage, complex cancers.
Breast cancer is the most commonly treated cancer at CTCA in Tulsa. Offering a variety of treatments for breast cancer patients, CTCA recently added the NOVAC7TM Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT). This therapy allows patients to receive radiation while still in the operating room undergoing surgery, often without any additional outpatient radiation treatment visits and fewer side effects.
In addition, CTCA has dedicated breast nurse navigators who participate in daily patient meetings, answer questions and provide assistance when needed. The breast nurse navigators also work closely with intake physicians, oncologists and mind-body medicine providers on behalf of the patient and help provide emotional support and education.
CTCA is honored to serve as a Vision Partner once again with the Tulsa affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. CTCA shares a similar compassionate commitment to serving cancer patients and their caregivers.
